The Adriaan Kuiters menswear label, clean neat lines with a bit of nostalgia. The name comes from his grandfather who was a dapper dresser and like his grandson knew about style. Watch out for the Adriaan Kuiters ladies collection coming soon.
You have to go and see the documentary 'Valentino:the last emperor' It is beautiful, funny and sad all at the same time. The documentary starts on the eve of the fashion house's 45thanniversary and the big question, will Valentino retire.
If anything go and see the film just to see how proper runway couture is made BY Hand, yes every dress every bead by hand
I started my business Ninon shoes in May 2007.Since 2010 I have extended my range to men's shoes, handbags and belts. All the products that I design are made here in Cape Town. Some of my shoes are made by a shoemaker who makes the shoes by hand and works from his workshop at home. Other shoes and the handbags are made by a family run small factory. My belts are made by a belt manufacturer that has been making belts in Cape Town since the 1970's. I insist on maintaining a high standard of quality.
The most interesting part of working with shoes is... the way a pair of shoes can lift a mood, change an outfit, the way you can look at a pair of shoes and fall in love and the way you can stare at your feet admiringly and think how beautiful the shoes are making your feet look. A beautiful pair of shoes, whether they are plain and just perfect or slightly over the top and quirky, is special and should be looked after and treated with respect. The more you love them the more they will last for you.
